The most convenient way to fill out a daily diet is to use quick selection and search. The quick selection menu contains products sorted by groups and categories, food in restaurants, cafes, catering chains, popular brands of products and supermarkets. To search for food, just type the first few letters, and the application will offer all the suitable names to choose from a huge database. You can also choose from recently consumed, most consumed products and dishes, saved food and from recipes in your cookbook. The built-in barcode detector of the application can recognize the barcode from the packaging and identify many products.

Having reflected the daily menu, in the reports you can see how much you have fulfilled the RSC. Detailed statistics are divided into three tab pages: calories, macronutrients, nutrients. Statistics of nutrients, in addition to calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, reflects the amount of fiber, sugar, cholesterol, sodium and potassium. The Home page displays the news feed, where you can view notifications, posts and photos of interesting authors, read and write comments, make your own post, share your experience or ask for advice. The social network functionality allows you to subscribe, like, add friends and monitor their weight loss results and diet, and simply communicate with like-minded people.

The Weight section displays the initial, desired and current weight since the last weighing, and also visualizes a color graph of weight change.

The Diary displays the daily calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack/other, calories burned and a summary. Each meal can be edited by deleting, adding or changing any of the products/dishes.

Daily or weekly reports have three tabs: calories, macronutrients and nutrients. The application calculates calories and BJU, reports in detail for the current and previous week, today, yesterday. You can scroll back and forth to view your food diary by day or week. The My Goals icon is located at the top right. In My Goals, you can calculate your RSK or set your calorie intake, protein, fat, carbohydrate ratio, and other nutrient targets manually.

The More section contains Settings, Recipes, Photo Album, Diet Calendar, and My Meal Plans.

In Settings, you can log out of your account or completely delete your account, change your country, activate/deactivate the Exercise Diary, set up energy units, RSK, notifications, comments, and access to your journal. It is possible to sync with a fitness bracelet with the Google Fit, Fitbit, and Samsung Health mobile apps on Android, as well as Fitbit and Health on iOS. It’s not laziness to keep a food diary, but the process of weighing is stressful, and sometimes there is simply no such opportunity. The positive fact is that you don’t have to weigh everything at all. Many of the foods in the FatSecret database are listed in pieces: eggs, apples, bananas, prunes, bread, chocolate. Also available are measurements in teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, mugs, glasses, jars, bags, bars, pillows, cubes, slices, chunks, portions. Use these units of measurement that allow you to avoid weighing many products.

To enjoy and get full, it is enough to eat several products in a complex meal in a certain volume. Determine a comfortable norm in grams for each product and always adhere to the new norm. Over time, the right amount will appear on the plate by itself, intuitively. The need to weigh everything will disappear. It is enough to simply enter the first letters of “beef …” in the food diary, and the application itself will suggest “baked beef 150 g”.

Small inaccuracies are not so scary, since with proper nutrition, the amount of energy-intensive foods consumed is not so large. Pay special attention to accounting for high-calorie fatty, sweet and high-carbohydrate foods and drinks. Moreover, weighing unhealthy foods should be a ritual that will help you give them up as soon as possible.

Weigh only what is high in calories and what you eat in large quantities. Vegetables and greens have few calories, so the error will be minimal. And it is much more difficult to gain extra weight on salad and spinach than on buns and sweets.

You don’t have to wait until the evening to write everything down in one fell swoop. Keep a food diary throughout the day, as soon as possible. Errors due to forgetfulness, accumulating, can exceed 50 kcal per day many times over. In addition, before dinner, based on the information on how much calories, proteins, fats, carbohydrates has already been received during the day, it is easier to make an evening menu, knowing what limit of calories, proteins, fats and carbohydrates remains for dinner.

The application allows you to plan a menu for the day, and even for several days.
